Indonesian Beef Rendang Curry

This recipe has been in our family for 4 generations, it is one of the most authentic recipes. The secret of this dish is that the beef is slow-cooked for 8 hours with lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves and coconut cream. I put homemade sweet and sour sauce and chilli sambal on the side so you can decide how hot you want it.

Has a kick 🌶🌶.

We worked in stressful jobs for many years and the way we would relax was to cook meals together for ourselves and family. It is hot for my palate , others may love it for that but I just add some yogurt , meat was tender and will order again

Great!!

I’m Malaysian and although this is not 100% like the ones you get back home, I can say that this is really good for UK standard. The dish is very filling and satisfying and right choice of beef cut so will definitely order when I’m missing home.

I like thisa lot and it will remain on my shopping list but I would ask if it were possible to bag the sauce or rice seperatly in the box as this would help in reheating and table pesentation of the vey good meal which compares most favourabley with rendang i have eaten in the Singapore Borneo andd Hong Kong
