This is my signature dish which comes from the south of Madagascar. It's my best seller - you are going to love it! Grilled chicken marinated in coconut milk, served with lasary (carrots and cabbage lightly cooked in vegetable oil and flavoured with Madagascan spice and turmeric). My favourite dish to both cook and eat.

Chicken Thigh [Uk] (45%), Carrots, Cabbage, Onions, Coconut Milk (2%), Lemon Juice, Desiccated Coconut, Garlic, Vegetable Oil, Salt, Parsley, Mustard Powder , Allspice

Heating Instructions

As our food is hand-made by our chefs, these reheating instructions are a guide. Check your food is piping hot throughout before serving.

❄️ FROM CHILLED

MICROWAVE: Remove lid and place loosely on the container. Place on a microwaveable plate and heat on full power for 3-4 minutes or until piping hot and stand for 1 minute.

OVEN: Preheat oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 5). Remove lid and any outer packaging. Place on a baking tray at the top of oven for 20 minutes or until piping hot. Stand for 1 minute before serving.

❄️ ❄️ FROM FROZEN

MICROWAVE: Remove lid and place loosely on the container. Place on a microwaveable plate and heat on full power for 7-8 minutes or until piping hot and stand for 1 minute.

OVEN: Preheat oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 5). Remove lid and any outer packaging. Place on a baking tray at the top of oven for 35 minutes or until piping hot. Stand for 1 minute before serving.

Meet Lilia

Lilia's Kitchen

In Madagascar, cooking is a time for family, especially with grandma and grandpa. We cook together rather than relying on the elders of the family to do it on their own. We are taught by our grandma, reminding us it was her mother who taught her and that this is how the tradition of Malagasy dishes stay alive. It's an incredible bonding experience that passes on recipes and techniques for generations to come.

Something different

My husband really liked this, I thought it was good but not my favourite. Really unusual flavours we hadn’t had before. Chicken is coconutty and vegetables have a citrus flavour. Lots of flavour and large portion was a generous dinner.

Unusual Taste

Extremely good sized portion for the smaller size. The chicken was lovely but not sure with the carrot.

Favourite

Love this and will definitely order again. I heated it in the air fryer and the top carrots were crispy which I really enjoyed.

Very tasty

Remains a favourite of mine but the carrot is a little dry once cooked as suggested in the oven also it tastes very salty to me. As someone who has to keep on low salt it would be nice if the salt could be reduced a little?
