OVEN: Preheat oven to 160°C (Gas Mark 5). Remove any outer packaging, place the tray in the oven and bake for 30-35 mins at 160°C until piping hot and golden brown.

OVEN: Preheat oven to 160°C (Gas Mark 5). Remove any outer packaging, place the tray in the oven and bake for 55-60 mins at 160°C until piping hot and golden brown.

Lidgates Butchers has been in operation since 1850 and our family have always sold pies in the shop. We use recipes that have been passed down over the decades, refining them here and there as tastes have changed but our core principles have always remained the same: the best quality ingredients treated with care and attention will produce excellent pies.

Absolute quality,very filling

Great Pastry but could be more flavoursome

This pie was enjoyable to eat - the pastry was good and encased the entire pie, which is great as some pies only have a pastry top. The filling was good and there was a good amount of chicken, although I felt that there could have been slightly more asparagus. The sauce is very creamy and I personally felt that the flavour of the pie was based on the fact that it was creamy, whereas I was hoping for some stronger flavours.

Interesting ingredient

Listed as “sea” sure gives the pie an inspired new tanginess. Ha ha

One of the best!

This pie was fantastic. Soo much filling big chunks of chicken and was full of flavour. Can't wait to try the other pies!

Just about perfect!

Glorious pie filled to the brim with tender meat and veg, andxa tastey crust! 10/10
